Under the auspices of the Council of Evangelical Churches in the Holy Land (Palestine), the Evangelical Churches celebrated a special Easter service on Saturday evening April 14, 2012 at the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem with attendance of around 400 people.
The chairman of the Council of Churches, Dr. Munir Kakish opened the service in prayer, and Pastor Jack Sara welcomed the attendees who came from several places in order to celebrate together. Then Pastor Nihad Salaman read from the gospel of John 20: 1-18.
The Redeemer’s Praise team of the Alliance church of Jerusalem led the praise and worship, followed by Sandy Shoshani who shared her testimony and Michael Kakish ending this period of worship singing a special song in Arabic.
Pastor. Dr. Munir Kakish preached a sermon entitled “A Pause at the Empty Tomb”, and then the Redeemer’s praise team led again in some songs of worship followed by participation in communion, as pastor Mazen Nasraoui and Pastor Zvi Randailamon led in prayer.
The Celebration concluded with a prayer by Dr. Bishara Awad, Director of Bethlehem Bible College, and Pastor Jack Sara invited everyone for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
The program also included a paragraph for children with Mr Ok, who shared with them a special message for Easter.
