Eilaboun- Linga
Light for All Nations along with the Association of Baptist Churches in Israel (ABC) hosted the annual Mother’s Day celebration at Abu Zeid center in Eilaboun. More than one thousand women from across the country attended the event.
Rose Obeid, Women’s Ministry Coordinator for the ABC, welcomed the attendees with a special word about motherhood. Manal Selwanous, representative from Light for All Nations ministry in Canada, opened the program with prayer.
Rose Obeid shared a devotional from 1 Samuel 25 about Abigail and her three types of inner beauty: her loving heart, her wisdom and her godly speech. The Lord is My Banner praise team, led by Pastor Khaled Dalle, led the praise and worship followed by Shamaa, a Moroccan Christian singer who shared her testimony and sang. Alpha Team performed a new song entitled “I Promise You Oh Jesus” from their new album “Love Captured”.
Rose Obeid recited a poem dedicated to mothers, written by Pastor Emad Khoury for the occasion. Pastor Nizar Shaheen, director of Light for All Nations Ministry, preached from 1 Samuel about the character of Hannah. This was followed by an altar call for all the women, who flooded the stage praying for God’s healing mercy.
All ministers wives were welcomed to the front to participate in cutting a cake prepared for the occasion. Katy Touma followed this with a bible reading. The program ended with a catered lunch and a gift for each mother.
The Linga staff wishes all mother’s a very special Mother’s Day
