Linga- Nazareth

The Melody of Peace Choir, directed by Nuha Kamhawei , held an Easter program at the Nazareth Evangelical Baptist Church. Fadi Hanna provided piano accompaniment and Anan Ekeita played drums. Pastor Fuad Sakhnini, pastor of Nazareth Evangelical Baptist Church, began the service in prayer and with a reminder for the Good Friday service. Fadi Hannah thanked the attendees and invited everyone to join in singing “The Lord’s Prayer” with the choir.

The choir performed Easter songs depicting the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The children’s choir joined with them, holding palm branches and singing “Hosanna in the Highest.”  Following this, Alpha Team performed a song from their newest album “Love Captured.”

Fadi Hanna welcomed a group from Beit Jala and Bethlehem, under the leadership of Johnny Shahwan, Director of the Christian Center in Beit Jala. Shahwan shared about his ministry with children and youth and expressed appreciation for the partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), under the leadership of Fadi Hanna. Shahwan also thanked the Lord for the opportunity to leave their home, which remains under siege, in order to join the fellowship with believers in Galilee.

Following a dedication prayer for Shahwan’s group, the choir sang the final songs about the victorious resurrection of Christ our Lord. The service ended with a word of thanks from Fadi Hanna and an invitation to share refreshments.
