Aboud ‘West Bank’ – Linga

The Church of God in Aboud, a village near Ramallah in the West Bank, invited the Melody of Peace Choir from Nazareth, Israel to perform a special service on Saturday, June 19th. Pastor Mousa Aalawei, leader of the church, hosted a lunch for the choir in the village of Gifna prior to the performance. Lunch was followed with a visit to nearby Ramallah before beginning the program in Aboud.

Pastor Aalawei opened the meeting with words of welcome for all attendees and he thanked the Melody of Peace leader, Fadi Hanna, for his efforts in bringing the choir to the West Bank. Mr. Hanna shared a brief history of the choir’s ministry before beginning the program, which included hymns, praise songs and children’s songs.

Silvator Zaitoun, a member of the choir, shared his testimony. This was followed with a brief sermon by Fadi Hanna from Luke 24:50-52 about joy which comes from serving Christ and the joy of worshiping Christ alone. 

The choir ended the program with a song about the second coming of Christ. Pastor Aalawei gave a prayer of blessing and invited all attendees to share in a time of fellowship and refreshments.
