Linga- Shefamer

The Evangelical Council in Israel, along with the Light for all Nations ministry, hosted a Women’s Meeting on July 21^st at the Church of God in Shefamer.

The meeting began with an introduction by Rania Beem, wife of Pastor Marwan Beem who heads the Church of God in Shefamer. Mrs. Beem welcomed all the attendees and thanked them for their attendance. She also thanked Rose Obeid and Pastor Gergues Haleem, Pastor of Rivers of Life Church in Toronto, Canada.

Rose Obeid, Program Coordinator, also thanked Pastor Gergues for his attendance and Pastor Hatem Jeryes for his hard work in planning the meeting. She shared a short devotion with the women and gave information about evangelistic programs held by Light for all Nations. This was followed with praise and worship.

Pastor Gergues was the keynote speaker and spoke from Isaiah 25:4, “You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall.” Pastor Gergues focused on the words ‘refuge in difficult times and shelter in times of flood.’ He also spoke about man’s place in Christ through faith.

At the conclusion of the sermon, Pastor Gergues led a prayer for all the women and held an altar call. Lunch and fellowship followed the conclusion.
