Nazareth Illit Baptist Church, led by Rajaei Samawei, held its annual conference this year at Haddad Tourist Resort in Jeneen for three days: 27/8-29/8/2010.

The conference was entitled “The Church: why it exists and what is the believer’s role in building the Kingdom of God?” The main speaker was Pastor Jack Sara, leader of Alliance Evangelical Church in Jerusalem.

Pastor Jack taught from Mark 1:14-15 and focused on the ‘kingdom keys’ which are the Word of God and the proclamation of the Gospel. The second day featured the text of Ephesians 4:1 and highlighted God’s use and preparation of the believer for building His kingdom. God’s servants need to: 1) seek His Kingdom first and righteousness and 2) understand your role in the will of God. The second message was taken from Acts 1:8 and 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 and was entitled ‘are you ready?’ Pastor Jack detailed God’s intentions through: prayer, faith, practice, giving, persecution and sacrifice.

On the last morning, church members gathered in an intercessory meeting to pray for God’s completion of His work among the church; that it would remain united and focus efforts on winning souls. The meeting ended with a prayer for the youth led by Rajaeil Samawei.
