Linga - Nazareth

The Minister's monthly breakfast fellowship was held last Saturday,5th of February, in the Church of the Nazarene, Nazareth. Pastor Nizar Touma, pastor of the Church, began the meeting with the worship song” I give you all the glory, then he shared a short reflection from John 12: 9-12, and spoke about changing people's perception about Christians through the testimony of believers, and how it is very important to maintain a testimony of believers to be a living example for all people.

Brother Botrus Mansour spoke about the book that he issued, entitled "When Your Neighbor Is the Savior" and the purpose behind this book. He spoke about how the foreigners and tourists who come and meet Christian Arabs,  will have full knowledge about our lives in the Holy Land. In his book, he wrote about his biography, linking it with the churches and organizations in the country and also said that the imports of sale of the book was going to the Baptist school in Nazareth.

Brother Monther Naoom, Chairman of the Association of Baptist Churhces, spoke on the importance of unity between the Convention of Evangelical Churches in Israel and the Evangelical Churches and organizations, and about the current challenges , where we must emphsize the importance of this unit clearly among the churches. Also, he spoke about the work of the convention in several areas, especially the issue of state recognition of the Evangelicals.

Brother Aziz Daeem, Chairman of the Convention, spoke about the statement of faith adopted by the Convention of Evangelical Churches in Israel, and the things proposed to be edited and changed in the statement.

Brother Salim Hanna spoke of the calendar of Events for 2011, of Convention Council meeting,Monthly ministers breakfast fellowship and special programs in terms of times and places for the year 2011. He spoke also about the Ministers dinner that will be held in the hall of Abu Zeid, Eilabun on the 16th of February,2011.

Pastor Afif Saba announced about the conference to be held on the 19th of February for one day at Hotel Rimonim - Al Ain in Nazareth, and then spoke about the team that will participate in this conference, including, pastor of the North Bridge Baptist Church from South Carolina, Rev. Dr. Louis Vanl, and Rev. Patrick Locke Assistant pastor, who is also the misson pastor of the Church, who has a long history of ministry and training of many churches in the United States on the subject of Evangelism and Missions.

Brother Anis Barhoom, director of the House of light ministry, introduced brother Steve Dunham, to speak about their ministry in Israel in the area of "Inner Healing". Brother Steve, shared about the history of their ministry and about their work.

 Pastor Edward Tannous Shared about the Back to Jerusalem ministry, and said that it has become an independent ministry from Life Agape, but they minister in partnership and in coopration with all the Churches and Life Agape. He spoke about the formation of the board for Back to Jerusalem organization and about the Summer project which will begin with a conference in Jerusalem July 4-6,2011. He also spoke about  their goal as a ministry to see the Gosple coming to every home in the Holy land and announced about the over night intercession and prayer meeting for the Ministry in the country that will be held in March.

The meeting was conculded with a word of prayer from Brother Ken.
