Bethlehem- Linga
Ramah Maranatha Evangelical Church held its annual winter conference in Bethlehem, the town where our glorious King was born 2000 years ago. The conference, held in the Star Hotel, focused on involving members and guests in spiritual programs for 3 days from the 26th - 28th.
The conference began with Brother Jeryes Baransi and Brother Paul Aqleh leading worship and Pastor Hatem Jeryes sharing a sermon entitled “How to be Ready” like the wise bridesmaids in the book of Matthew.
The second day began with a visit to Bethlehem Bible College (BBC) where Pastor Attalla Eisawei, Vice President of the college welcomed the church members and led a tour demonstrating BBC’s goals and current ministry. He then showed a short documentary about BBC and the challenges and difficulties that are unique to this college and its particular mission.
In the afternoon, the church had a special visit to the Nativity Church led by tour guide Eisa Ghattas who explained the history of the church through the different ages.
In the evening of the second day, Pastor Jack Sarah, pastor of the Alliance Church in Jerusalem, led the worship while playing the keyboard, and then shared an encouraging message detailing four important points for a successful church: the Praying Church, the Holy Spirit Filled Church, the Loving Church, and the Evangelistic Church.
The last day of the conference was free time for church members: some visited Emmanuel Bible Store and then everyone joined for lunch at Barbara Restaurant in Beit Jala.
