Linga- Acre
The city of Acre receives tens of thousands of local and foreign visitors each year for the annual Feast of Tabernacles "Succot" Festival. The celebration is held in the old city and lasts four days.
This year, an evangelistic outreach was held that joined several Arab Christian and Messianic ministries along with foreign believers from different countries. Together, the outreach participants organized a temporary headquarters outside the Baptist bookstore of Acre and distributed Christian literature to the city's visitors.
Participants shared Christian material in several languages and also distributed DVDs. Arab believers wore shirts reading "Arabs love Jews because Jesus is Love," which attracted many Jews and initiated great opportunities for sharing the gospel. The joint effort between Arabs, Jews and foreign participants also drew interest and provided opportunities to testify about Christ and the beauty of "one body of believers."
Some of the ministries participating in the outreach included: Harvest Ministry, Back to Jerusalem, Ambassadors Ministry and Jews for Jesus. In an interview with Pastor Hani Sayegh of Acre, he reported that the outreach was a wonderful success and asks prayer for those who heard the gospel message.
