Cana Baptist Church celebrated on Saturday, 13 October 2012, baptism service in the Jordan River for a number of young men and women who have decided to take this important step in their lives, proclaiming their love and obedience to God's word following the steps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Church members departed to the baptism site “Yardenit” about three in the afternoon and upon their arrival to the site; Pastor Hani Ballan opened the baptism service with a prayer followed by a brief explanation about the concept of baptism, then led in singing some of the hymns. Followed by a short time where the participants in baptism stood in front of the crowd to share their testimony and the work of the Lord in their life and decision to take this step of faith.

The young men and women descended to the water, one by one, accompanied by Pastor Hani alongside singing hymns with the crowd, as they declared in their baptism burying the old man in their lives and the beginning of a journey in obedience with the Lord Jesus. And when they came out of the water, pastor Hani accompanied by leaders of the church extended hands in prayer for them.

 After the service all members returned to the church in Cana as they had fellowship in celebrating this occasion.

It is worth mentioning that the young men and women received discipleship and guidance on the concept of baptism by pastor Hani and Ibrahim Sadran over four consecutive meetings.
