The evangelical convention in Israel held its annual holiday fellowship (for the 7th consecutive year), on Saturday , January 19/ 2013 at Al Awadeyeh hall in Shefaamer.

The gathering was attended by nearly 450 people from members of evangelical churches and organizations in Israel, who came specially to celebrate with their brethren on this occasion.

The gathering was opened by the Emcee Eman Hanna, as she welcomed everyone on behalf of the evangelical convention in Israel, and calling on Pastor Jack Sara- President of Bethlehem Bible College- for prayer of blessing over the gathering.

The Lord is My Banner praise team led by Pastor Khaled Dalleh, took the lead in praise and worship at this evening; as pastor Khaled declared that this gathering is a celebration of the Lord in the midst of his people as He deserves all the glory and honor.

Pastor Nizar Touma, president of the evangelical convention in Israel, shared a short devotion from the word of God reading from Isaiah 61. He reminded everyone about Christ's ministry and focused on the year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25), indicating that this year should be our year of returning to the Lord; who is calling prisoners to be set free from the grip of the devil, as He is able to restore everything into beauty instead of ashes.

Pastor Nizar concluded his devotion in urging all believers to work harder in the Lord's field, and that we must strive together with the freedom granted in this county for sharing the Gospel with everyone.

Eman Hanna shared brief history of the convention as she named the churches and Christian organizations who are members. Current board members of the convention were called to come forward: Pastor Nizar Touma, Pastor Hanna Katanacho, Pastor Ehab Ashkar, Pastor Azar Ajaj, Pastor Rajaei Samawei, Kamil Daw, Pierre Tanous, as they presented symbolic gifts to the previous board members as an expression of love and gratitude for their efforts in serving with the convention.

Ronza Nweirsri  sang a special song entitle " I sing amongst people that I have a great God", accompanied by Elias Branasi on keyboard.

After light dinner was served , the Lord is My Banner praise team led in singing the Lord's prayer as ministers came forward to conclude gathering in prayer.
