On Wednesday evening, March 06, Haggai Institute held the first gathering for the graduates of the training that the institute has been holding since the early nineties.The gathering was held at the Nazareth’s Hospital chapel building. About fifty graduates from the different areas in the Galilee were present.
Prof. Arthur Dhanaraj, Vice president of International training at Haggai’s institute,, was the guest of honor as this visit is considered the first of its kind by Haggai’s representative in Israel.
Pastor Soheil Batheesh, chaplain at Nazareth’s Hospital, and one of the graduates of Haggai’s institute, welcomed the audience and gave a short devotion from 2 Tim2:2. The chief executive of the Nazareth hospital shared an encouraging word, followed by Prof. Arthur Dhanaraj sharing about the vision of the institute that aims in equipping leaders to be more effective in ministry, focusing on evangelism as they carry the message of the Gospel to the whole world.
Many brothers and sisters shared about the change that took place in their life following the training. Bishara Deeb said that he attended one of the training with certain expectations and came back with different ones. Salim Shallash said that what he gained from the training helped him with his new ministry at church. He learned how to train and better equip leaders, so that they can be helpful to one another within the church. Camilia Antone, one of the graduates, shared her healing testimony. Farha Makhoul talked about the positive effect that the Haggai institute principles had on her ministry.
Sister Rose showed a PowerPoint presentation of the photos from the different trainings she was part of.
Lamees Qanboura, coordinator and ambassador of Haggai’s institute in Israel, welcomed everyone and said that leaders have to live up to their responsibility and hold tight to the principles that Haggai’s Institute promote: Vision, setting goals, love and humility, self control and communication, investment and opportunity, liveliness , resistance and finally authority and awareness.
It is worthy to mention that pastor Ibrahim Samaan translated for Prof. Arthur Dhanaraj, and Ziyad Farraj alongside with Rani Saba led a time of praise and worship.
