As has always been our custom to come up with something new, Linga’s site staff members have developed a new section within our page. It is a section different to anything that was on the site before and it is not similar to any Arabic sites available online.
The idea started many years ago when Linga’s site became known locally and globally. The administration of the site decided to create a Christian web for the purposes of serving Christians who speak Arabic in every part of the world.
Once we started planning for this new project we faced several challenges : How can we develop a Christian social website whilst keeping in mind that there are other online sites all around the world that offer its members a great deal of services that cannot be competed with nor even imitated such as Facebook, Twitter, Google and others…?
We started thinking of services that are unavailable through these social networks. But, is there anything that these social networks do not provide? Is there anything that is not available on Facebook, for example?
So we started from this point…
We got to thinking of several important and beneficial points and some that are not available even on the world wide, social and most common sites.
1. The first service was available in the songs section but we have developed it further. Every member in Linga’s site can now create their own song albums, they can give their albums the title they wish and can then gather all the songs that they love in this album. For example, one can add a song for Ayman Kafrouny and another for Maher Fayez and another for Lulu Sameer, etc and then listen continually to all the songs that they’ve put together whether on their computer or on their mobile phone. A significant thing about this service is that members can add a great number of songs to the extent that they can listen all day long to their album non
Owners of the albums can decide whether they would like to make their album public or private. If they wanted the album to be a private one, then no one else can see it except the owner of the album. A special photo can be added to every album.
2. We have also made available for our members the possibility of moving certain special songs and sharing them with other members. If one member liked a song that another member has put up, the first person can add it to their own album with just one click and be blessed by it. We have made all songs available for sharing but at the same time they will be under supervision so that the purity of this section will be kept and so that others would not have the opportunity to include any non Christian additions (secular songs). In addition to this, should anything happen one can send a notice to the administration of the site. Every member has the right to add the songs they like and they can either download it on their PC or not. If downloading was allowed for a specific song, an icon next to the song would be there to indicate so.
3. Since PowerPoint presentation sections receives many visitors from all around the world, we have thought of further developing this section. Every day more than one thousand PowerPoint songs are downloaded. If we assume in our simple calculations that every church downloads ten songs and uses them for serving Christ and worshiping Him, then dividing 1000 by 10 equals 10, so about 100 churches download songs from the PowerPoint section on Linga’s site.
Due to the importance of this ministry, we have opened up the opportunity for all members to take part in it, it is now available for every member to add the songs they have designed or that they have available to the PowerPoint section. Every song that is added will appear directly on the main page and also on the official members’ page and on their own PowerPoint presentation page.
4. In addition to this, members can now add the sermons of their church or the sermons that have specifically made an impact on their personal life to their personal page and these will be added directly to the main sermons page on Linga’s site. In this way they will be available for everyone. Who knows, this could be a reason for the salvation of many and a blessing for them.
5. This final part is a section that is also found on other sites, but since the number of Linga’s visitors is not small, we have decided to add it so that it might be a blessing to them as well.
In this section, every member can add Christian video clips to the video section on Linga’s site through copying the video link from the YouTube page to the place set for this in the video-adding section. With one click, the chosen video will be automatically added to the Christian video section and also to Linga’s site members page.
We pray that this new section will be a blessing to many and that we could all work together in spreading the good news of Christ’s Gospel and His comforting words to the very ends of the earth. In this way, it will be as if everything is available for everyone in a big Christian library.
Ministry is no longer confined to your place of work or neighborhood or even your church. You can be the Lord’s servant also through Linga’s website and you can help in delivering comforting songs to the homes of many and PowerPoint songs to thousands of Christians who use them during their time of Praise and Worship. You can also share encouraging, uplifting and educational sermons to the hundreds of thousands for Linga’s site visitors and also share videos with those who are looking for them instead of having to search in non-Christian sites that can cause confusion sometimes.
We also encourage you to go to the prayer room visited by many people who pray on a daily basis. This room has now become full of visitors; and we encourage you to be part of it so that you might be a blessing to many.
