The house of prayer and exploits ministry held an evening of worship and prayer for the youth on Friday May17th at the Baptist school’s hall. The event was held in celebrating Pentecost Day with the title from Acts 1:8 “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”
More than 120 young guys and girls attended the event from different churches, Nicola Odeh led a time of praise and worship with a team of young people from the Baptist churches of Kfar Yasif, Eilaboun and Tur’an. Several leaders led the time of prayer such as Rania Sayegh, Andrea Hanna, Rose Obeid, Ibrahim Sadran and Salim Hanna.
Rania Sayegh showed a film about awaking the guards that presents the movement of prayer all around the world , as the effect of prayer has been changing societies and cities all around the world. Rania encouraged the attendance to adopt the life of prayer so that can transform their lives, cities and land on every aspect. Julian Beavour and Christine Souti performed a dance to the song “Spirit Break out.”
The time of worship was accompanied with lot of prayers as the youth united in prayer for one another and for their cities. Yosef Arabian gave his personal testimony about the power of prayer that miraculously saved his life when he was going through difficult physical conditions.
Pastor Jack Sara, President of the Bible College shared a devotion from the book of Acts 1:8, he emphasised on the importance of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer for sharing the Gospel in boldness. He also shared his personal testimony and talked about the radical change that happened in his life whilst he was still a young boy after accepting the Lord. Furthermore, he encouraged the youth to serve the Lord.
In conclusion, Pastor Jack extended an invitation for every young guy and girl who wanted to dedicate their life and be filled with the Holy Spirit. He encouraged them to bow down and pray before the Lord. Rania also invited the youth who needed special ministry to come forward to receive prayers from a team of ministers.
The meeting ended with a time of friendly fellowship and light refreshments.
