Spiritual service department of Nazareth hospital led by Rev. Suhail Bathish held its sixth annual conference over the weekend of 12&13th of October 2013 in Haddad Village Resort in the west bank, with the attendance of 80 people that joined hospital staff, volunteers, and their families.
The first day of the conference began by a devotional shared by Joseph Maine, General Director of Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society ‘EMMS”, and joined on that day with preaching Pastor Rajaei Samawei of Upper Nazareth Baptist Church, who shared on Living in Grace.
Joseph Maine presented ten applications that help one to live by the grace of God, as he focused on the importance of making a decision to forget pain and grief, so that we remember the love and tenderness of the Lord instead.
Pastor Rajaei preached on different divine type of grace, its meaning, and definition and how it works in the Christian life and faith. As he mentioned that it should appear in the lifestyle and behavior of the children of God.
All attendees participated in the Lord’s Supper after a time of worship led by Ronnie Khoraish with the guitar, followed by a short devotional by Waseem Jeryes reflecting on grace and resurrection.
Sunday school ministry provided crafts and bible stories focusing on the story of redemption for the children.
At the end of the Conference attendees visited Burqin Church where Jesus cured ten lepers as they listened to a detailed explanation of the place. The church was built by St. Helena and attended by 60 Christian members in Jenin of the west bank that have 7,000 citizens of Muslim background.
