The Evangelical Church of the Nazarene in Nazareth led by Pastor Nizar Touma, held on Saturday 21 December for the first time, an exhibition of fine art images, that the majority of it had Christmas theme and other topics related to verses from the Bible.
Pastor Nizar commented on this initiative saying, "this exhibit was based on an idea started last year (2012) when some amateur and talented artists were invited to display their drawings and paintings in the city of Bethlehem, as Ramzi Ayad a church member adopted that idea so it can be presented to the local church."
The exhibition was visited by many members of the Church and beyond, primary pupils such as Samuel Shehadeh; age ten years presented a drawing with pencils, as other pupils joined the exhibit from the Almarsa elementary school and others who have completed high school.
The exhibit also involved a mother who is a member of the Association "Golden Fingers for Drawing “, a fine artist and a member of the "Creativity Center “in the village of Kfar Yasif.
