With the approaching of Mother’s day, Christian Holy Land Foundation Ministry held a celebration for mothers on Saturday March 15th  2014, about 900 women who came from various villages and cities in Israel took part in the celebration at Abu Zeid Hall in Eilaboun, Galilee. CHLF ministry presented a symbolic gift and a book for every woman who attended.

Rose Obeid opened up the celebration in welcoming the women who came from different places to celebrate this important occasion, and thanked Pastor Andrawes Abu Ghazale and his wife Margret, Pastor Nizar Shaheen ‘Director of Light for All Nations Ministry’, Pastor John Sample ‘Christian Holy Land Foundation Director’, she then asked Lina Eid to lift up a prayer of blessing for the celebration.

Pastor John Samples shared an encouraging devotion by reminding the attendees on how the world knows that they are Christ disciples through their love to one another and that there are many believers from around the world praying for God's blessing on this meeting.

Rose Obeid began by saying: "I stand before precious women who have pure eyes. The mother is all about love; it’s a fresh and soft word, a symbol of divine sacrificial love that deserves all the respect.”

Then the Bible Society Director in Israel Dina Katanacho presented to each mother a special book entitle “ Speak to Him “, and followed by showing a powerful testimony of a mother who her son was sick with a disease and has been healed by the power of God who answers prayers.

Rose Obeid shared a short devotion about the importance of women and their significance in giving out to their children and their families. She said that mothers are one of the greatest characters who can influence the life of others, either for good or bad, and that they have an impact in forming their children’s life. And reading from 1 Peter 3:3-6; she pointed out that the virtuous woman is like a rare coin trusted by her husband’s heart and because she fears the Lord being faithful in her life, the mind of her husband is in ease. This virtuous woman is always thankful and stands strong beside her husband even in the worse conditions of life. Her husband commends her life for being wise and caring for him, their children and the entire household.

“The Lord is my Banner” team, under the leadership of Pastor Khalid Dalleh, sang a few encouraging songs and many women sang along.

Pastor Nizar Shaheen preached about Abigal’s character and her personality as an example of courage and wisdom in the book of 1 Samuel 25, a courageous woman who faced difficult situations and decisions that affected her family as she managed to save her household through her wisdom.

Pastor Nizar concluded his sermon with gospel invitation and special prayer of blessing for the households represented, as many women came forward and Pastor Andrawes with other leaders helped in leading this time of prayer.

The celebration also included honouring elderly women and concluded with fellowship over lunch.
