Linga-Shefamer

The Evangelical Episcopal Church in Shefamer, under the leadership of Pastor Fouad Dagher, held a Christmas concert for church members and guests on Thursday December 17th. Among the guests were Father Andrew, head priest of the Roman Catholic Church of Shefamer along with a group of nuns from the Rosary Sisters Order and nuns visiting from Nazareth.

The event joined the Melody of Peace Choir and the Nazareth Hand Bell Choir with the Alpha Team, all led by Fadi Hanna, in a presentation of Christmas music and selected seasonal readings. All three groups are based in Nazareth. The celebration began with a welcome prayer of blessing by Pastor Fouad. The Melody of Peace Choir started the service with Christmas readings intended to draw attention to Jesus Christ. This was followed with a performance by the Hand Bell Choir.

Yonan Hanna, the son of director Fadi Hanna performed a song with Phibi Abdul-Malik, the daughter of Brother Saul Abdul-Malik. Following this the Alpha Team performed an inspiring hymn of encouragement.
At the conclusion, Pastor Fouad thanked the three teams for participating in the program and especially thanked all the attendees, reminding everyone to attend the Combined Joint Christmas Program for all Christian denominations in Shefamer which will be held at the Church of St. Peter. The audience left the sanctuary as the hymn “O Ring the Bells” played to receive refreshments in the church hall.
