Turaan- Linga
Turaan Baptist Church has finished its summer camp for this year. The camp lasted one week from 9th-14th of August 2009. The camp was full of love, joy and singing. The camp began at 8:30 on Sunday morning, when the children were welcomed to the camp. The day began with a program entitled “I AM.” Following the program, the Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Randa Faraj, divided the children into age groups to begin the camp stations of games, crafts, dancing, art and drama. After 35 minutes of each activity, the groups switched stations. They broke for lunch at noon then continued the day in the same order. At the conclusion of the day, the children gathered in the church for singing and to hear announcements.
Two children from each group were awarded for their good behavior, which encouraged the rest to stay attentive to their leaders. The children were taken on Thursday for a fun filled day at a water park. Approximately 90 children attended the camp, aged 5-11 years. At the end of the camp, each child received a Bible as a gift. Brother Ziad Faraj said: “we thank our faithful and loving God for providing for us and giving us strength, grace, and wisdom to lead this camp. We also thank all who helped make this camp a success, especially the instructors, CEF ministry and all the donors.”
