Jerusalem- Linga

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:2

Our hearts rejoice when we hear of a family accepting the Lord, or when we hear that a person received Jesus as his savior. Today believers share their joy in the outreach program led by children of the Alliance Church in Jerusalem. The children joined Rami Misherki, leader of the Table Ministry, and other church leaders in an outreach at a local park.

Children between the ages of 9 – 12 distributed over 150 copies of the Jesus film and the Bible for Children CD to other children in Bell Park, Jerusalem. Yvette Misherki and Joe Anwar painted children’s faces and assisted with the outreach.

Rami Misherki reported to Linga that the idea to hold a children’s outreach program began after he shared with the children in Sunday school the importance of evangelism. The youth were anxious to share the gospel with other kids and thus the outreach at Bell Park became reality. Mr. Misherki said he was “surprised to find the kids sharing with young adults and teenagers in the park. They were sitting with these older youth and talking about the message of salvation and the importance of accepting Jesus Christ as savior. I was overwhelmed with great joy as I watched.”

Through this outreach church leaders and members of the Table Ministry also had the chance to share the gospel with the families present in the park. The Table Ministry recently participated in the Back to Jerusalem conference and was involved in various campaigns, including the Qalandiya Checkpoint separating Ramallah and Jerusalem and the Checkpoint 300 between Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

Mr. Misherki requested prayer for the Table Ministry and for the ongoing ministry of the children of the Alliance Church as they continue their outreach in Jerusalem.
