Eilaboun Baptist Church held a caroling service on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. The church youth group led the event, leading the congregation in carols and Christmas scripture readings.

Pastor Khaled Dalle opened the meeting with the proclamation  "Christ is born" and the audience responded with "Hallelujah" for three consecutive times. He shared on the importance of Christmas and keeping Jesus as the center and then raised a prayer of blessing and thanksgiving to the Lord.

Majd Shoufani and Ehab Obeid began the program with a short comedic skit followed by the church praise team leading the worship and caroling. The team was joined by Majd Shoufani, Raghda Awad, Ehab Obeid and Mariana Hourani.

The Church's children also had a role in the program: dancing to the sound of the Christmas song "Christmas Eve" as it was performed by Raghda Awad.

The youth group presented a play about the self centeredness and commercialism of the Christmas season and our tendency to forget about Jesus. Following the play, Haneen Obeid presented a poem she wrote entitled "The Meaning of Christmas."

Majd Shoufani shared about current Christmas celebrations as compared to his memories of Christmas as a child. He concluded with an emphasis on the "forgotten" importance of Christmas: the incarnation of Christ.

The children, dressed in Christmas outfits, joined the praise team at the front for the last song "Jingle Bells." Brother Hanna Eid prayed a prayer of blessing over them.

Pastor Khaled, in turn, thanked the youth who attended the event and asked Dawood Bitar to pray for them.

After the closing prayer, Shadia Zeina presented gifts for the church leaders as an expression of thanks.
