Linga- Nazareth

The Life Agape Ministry in the Holy Land offered a free public viewing of the docudrama “Damascus Speaks” at the Golden Crown hotel in Nazareth.

The Hotel provided two conference halls to accommodate the estimated 1000 attendees who came from Nazareth and surrounding villages to see the film.

This docudrama, a Syrian Life Agape production, portrays the life of the Apostle Paul and was filmed on location in Syria where Paul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus. All actors were local Arabs.

What made this program particularly significant was the attendance of religious leaders from different denominations who have endorsed the film and voiced support for future productions. Also encouraging was the attendance of considerable numbers of Muslims and Druze who came to learn about Paul and left with a deeper knowledge of Jesus.

The showing began at 6:30 with welcoming words from Brother Rajaei Samawei in the first conference hall followed with an opening prayer of blessing by Father Bishara Warwar, head priest of the Greek Orthodox Church in Nazareth. Brother Samer Botrus and Father Louis Hazboun, head priest of the Latin Church and Principle of the Latin School in Jaffa Nazareth who led the welcome and opening prayer in the second conference hall.

After the viewing, Brother Rajaei thanked all the religious leaders and all ministers including the attendees in the program, followed by a distribution of information cards which attendants were asked to fill out and instructed where they could order a copy of the production in Arabic, English, French and Italian. At the end, everyone gathered on the way out of each hall to receive free Christian materials.
