On Saturday September 2nd was the opening of first private Christian school in Kirkuk, Iraq ; that will be offering lessons about the Christian and Muslim faiths to elementary school students in the city.

The school promotes the language of moderation and tolerance among all religions, according to the statement  of the Chaldean archbishop of Kirkuk, "Louis Sako."

The school's new project came to revive a school that had existed decades ago in the "Om Al Ahzan Church" in Kirkuk Castle.

The school has nine Arab Christian teachers  who give lectures in all educational curricula's for elementary grades.
