More than 70 thousand Copts rallied yesterday, Friday, 11/11/2011 in the monastery of Simeon in the Mokattam, to participate in prayer for Egypt. Where they continued in prayer, praise , listening to the men of God from several Christian denominations until the sixth hour of Saturday morning.

The celebration began with the choir chanting prayers for Egypt, like the hymn "Blessed is Egypt My people." And thousands waved  Egyptian flags amid the prayers and hymns with a commitment not to raise any religious symbols and slogans.

Among those present were the leading priest of the monastery, "Sameh Ibrahim," and Pastor Sameh Maurice, leader of the Doubbara Evangelical church , Father Makari Yunan,and many distinguished men of God from various Christian denominations.

SAT-7 TV channel aired live " The Day of Prayer and Return to God" , as the Egyptian Dream TV  channel broadcasted the event live for the late hours.

Noted that many European and American churches of all Christian denominations joined in prayer time at the same day.
